Job Summary:

Training responsibilities include educating integrators and dealers on Salient’s video management system, CompleteView 20/20, to efficiently and effectively install CompleteView 20/20 and configure it to the needs of their customers.  If you have an outgoing personality and are highly motivated to provide a great customer experience, then this is the role for you. Job Duties:

  • Ability to explain technical information in a simple and understandable way to individuals with little or no prior experience with Salient’s products or the video surveillance industry
  • Foster positive customer relationships by delivering the highest quality educational experience
  • Excellent listening, verbal, and writing skills 
  • Prior technical teaching experience 

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Reports to Training Manager
  • Provide quality service to Salient’s internal staff and external customers in all assigned tasks, while upholding Salient’s values at all times
  • Work collaboratively with Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Administration and Support as requested

Job Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with an excellent attention to detail
  • Possess a strong technical aptitude
  • Mid-level experienced with Win7/ Win 10/ Pro 64-bit & Win Server 2012 and higher
  • Able to set up and maintain classroom IP network configurations and troubleshoot classroom network connectivity issues without assistance. Networking: one of the following are desired but not required CCNA, (CompTIA A+/ N+ or other networking certification)
  • Understands common video compressions (MJPEG, MPEG4, H.264)
  • Mid-level experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe PDF
  • Resourceful at resolving customer challenges 
  • “Can do” attitude that is service oriented with excellent communication skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and phone skills supported by strong interpersonal skills and ability to work both independently and cross functionally within a team structure


Salary commensurate with experience

Education and Experience:

College degree in business or related discipline preferred.  Previous experience with training and knowledge of technology highly desirable. 

Interpersonal Skills:

Present a professional image at all times to customers, consultants, partners and end users.

Working Hours:

9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Flexibility may be required to meet needs of customers in different time zones.

Working Environment:

Work usually based in our Austin-based HQ office.  Travel in support of training initiatives as required or requested.

Physical Demands:

Able to lift and carry 25lbs. (about the same as carrying your small dog into the vet)
