Job Title: IT Administrator

Roles & Responsibilities:
The IT Administrator will be primarily responsible for managing the day to day operations of Salient’s server and network infrastructure. This will include monitoring, optimization, updating, troubleshooting and repair. This role will be expected to develop new system and application implementation, work with vendors to support business tools such as hosted exchange and telecommuters, set and deliver on RTO and RPO targets, as well as determine threat’s and vulnerabilities and create mitigation strategies for them. The IT Administrator will verify RTO and RPO objectives by testing and verifying backups, ensuring UPS systems and shutdown procedures are functional, and respond to health monitoring events. This role will require staying current with technological developments in systems administration technology and able to make recommendations for ways Salient can take advantage of these advances. The IT Administrator will collaborate with IT Desktop support to ensure that interoperations of business software and endpoints are as smooth as possible. Positions in this classification may perform all or some of the responsibilities above as well as other related duties as assigned. This position reports to the Director of Support Services. No travel required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will be trust worthy, credible and a self-starter that possesses strong troubleshooting/analytical/problem solving skills, has excellent leadership and/or teamwork, and demonstrates the ability successfully complete projects on schedule.
