Known Issues
- AD users are not currently supported as members of VMS groups.
- When saving changes to the Recording Server configuration, Live views may temporarily be interrupted.
- Export settings for volumes are lost when migrating from v6.1.X to v7.0 or higher.
- BriefCam configuration loses data when migrating from v6.1.X to v7.0 or higher.
- After migrating from v6.1.x to v7.0 or higher the PTZ priority is changed for all groups.
- Initial playback of a camera configured to record only during alarm events shows a ‘No Video’ error even though video is available. Seeking to the event will update the camera tile.
- Interruption of playback with audio after using Jump Forward or Jump Back buttons.
- Export full time sends all video for time period to export queue regardless of filter applied to recording types.
- The special characters “/“, “\“, “?“, “#“ are not currently supported when connecting with an Active Directory account.
- In Timeline Search mode, when performing video playback faster than 1x speed, it is possible for the timeline to move past the current live time into the future and show that there is no video present.
- When exporting video which had a post recording configured, the Desktop Client will add an additional post recording period to the clip extending the total amount video being exported.
- Installing Management Server on a system which already has SQL 2022 installed won’t detect the SQL installation, will attempt SQL 2019 install, and fail.
- When adding a Recording Server back to a Management Server where a user’s name has been modified in the Recording Server configuration will result in an Import Failed and the Recording Server will not be added to the Management Server.
- In 7.x transitioning a volume from archive, backup, or export to regular or read-only is not permitted.
- Collection of issues related to ProxyCast which impacts the ability to present video from remote servers and system stability.
- Upgrading CompleteView from 32bit v4.8.2 to 64bit v6.1.2 Recording Server fails to connect due to loss of encryption key on the recorder.
- In Configuration module for camera PTZ configuration tab, the ability to perform PTZ with a joystick is not functional.
- For Federation deployments, when in Dashboard for Search Video or Search Video and switching from one site to another the filter fields may not be reset to a default stated.
- Email notifications can only be sent to one email address. Adding more than one email address will fail to send the email and provide Error “501 5.1.3 Bad recipient address syntax”.
- For Federation deployments, when performing playback on one site, then switching to a different site, and then returning to the previous site site, the selected camera is not persisted in Playback Search and returns to the 1st camera in the drop down.
- When running v7.5.0 on Windows 11, the Server Performance shown in Dashboard is not accurate and shows a reduced CPU load, when the actual load as seen in Task Manager may be higher.
- In 7.5.0 the server configuration cannot be exported to XML type from the Maintenance module
- In v7.5.0, when a user has the Time Limit permission set for their account and performs a search and scrubs to a period outside of their time limit or plays the video in reverse and exceeds the time limit restriction, a new search will be required to resume playback operation.
- When using the Axis T8312 keypad with version 7.4.0 and higher, pressing the play button moves the video 1 hour ahead.
- When creating a Region in the Configuration module when navigating away from the page does not notify about unsaved changes but does save the changes.
- Failing to save changes to a Recording Server before navigating to a new page, on the Recording Server Overview page does not prompt for unsaved changes and changes will be lost.
- After scrubbing video in Playback Search and immediately switching to advance the video 1 frame at a time in, it may take more than 1 click to initially advance the video.
- When viewing a tour in live view, tours including “desktop views” will skipped over the desktop view and only display the “universal views”.

If a user has a Playback Time Limit set and plays video in reverse or moves the timeline to beyond the time limit restriction, the user cannot press Play or move the scrubber bar to a position within the limit to view video. User must press Search again to view video
When using the Axis T8312 during Daylight Saving Time, pressing the time button to jump to a specific time in the video moves an hour ahead of the intended time.

- When in failover and viewing the Recording Server’s page in Configure mode, using the stop function under the power button in the connection panel, an error message is displayed and the recording server service is not stopped.
- When recovering from a failover event, it is possible that the database record does not get updated properly but the video files remain on disk. A manual database sync needs to be performed to repair the database.

- Initially playback of alarm-only camera recording, camera timeline displays alarm recording but the camera tile displays No Video error

- When integrating CompleteView with Active Directory some special characters are not passed to AD to validate the connection

- Upgrading to 7.3.0 with GEN2 capture cards, bit rate changed from 100kbps to 500kbps
- When playing back video with audio, the audio drops out intermittently and returns while the video continues to play.
- For cameras configured with audio and assigned to continuous and motion recording schedule, when filtering continuous recordings and play the motion clips, the video stops playing randomly but the timeline keeps moving.
- Third party NVRs are additionally recording video to CompleteView Recording Server storage even when configured to store on the 3rd party NVR.
- For On-demand event monitoring, the start/stop indicator in the left nav may not be in-sync with the start/stop button in the events panel resulting in an unknown state of event monitoring.
- After trimming the length of a video clip in the Export Queue the UI does not reflect the updated length of the video unless operator moves to a different page and returns to the Queue
- In the left navigation menu under Server/Cameras pressing the space bar selects a camera and adds to the right region, but when moving to another camera the additional camera is selected but not added to the right region. unless I use the mouse to select a different camera
- Installing Management Server on a system which already has SQL 2022 installed won’t detect the SQL installation, will attempt SQL 2019 install, and fail.
- When adding a Recording Server to back to a Management Server where a user’s name has been modified in the Recording Server configuration will result in an Import Failed and the Recording Server will not be added to the Management Server
- When exporting video the progress bar show 100% and a status of complete while the export is still in process. Operator should wait until UI removes the cancel button before closing the status message window
- In 7.x when transitioning a volume from archive, backup, or export to regular or read-only is not permitted
- Using an external PTZ Joystick with the Desktop Client does not control the PTZ operation of a camera in live view or alarm view.

Spotlight Known Issues
Updated: March 27, 2024
- Video popups may not function properly after the PC has resumed from sleep.
- If an error occurs in sending audio to the door station, incoming audio does not stay muted
- Multiple Windows users cannot run Spotlight simultaneously on the same machine
- Success, error, and warning popups can sometimes appear on another monitor
- Video popups and monitor identification windows are positioned incorrectly if Windows monitor scaling is not 100%
- Users can receive events from cameras for which they do not have CompleteView permissions
- The login screen flashes abruptly when the “Remember Me” feature automatically logs the user in
- The Camera Name column in the “Configure Cameras” section of the configuration page is not resizable
