CompleteView v8.0 Named 2026 Security Today New Product of the Year
Austin, TX – [September 10, 2026] – Salient Systems’ CompleteView v8.0 has been named a winner in the Video Management Systems category of the 2026 Security Today New Product of the Year awards.
The annual program, run by Security Today, recognized 26 companies across 33 categories this year, spanning access control, artificial intelligence, perimeter protection, video surveillance and other areas of security. The awards honor product development achievements from manufacturers whose products are considered particularly noteworthy in their ability to improve security.

CompleteView v8.0 was recognized in the Video Management Systems category. Released in June 2026, CompleteView v8.0 introduced Enhanced Search, which lets investigators find footage using a When, Where, What workflow — searching by person appearance, clothing, vehicle type or color across a camera network and returning thumbnail results in seconds saving hours of manual scrubbing. The analytics run at the camera edge on ONVIF Profile M compatible cameras, so the metadata stays lightweight and its retention ties automatically to existing video retention policies. The release also added a Hardware Replacement Wizard that automates server replacement by confirming hardware readiness, pushing configuration automatically, and halting if issues arise rather than leaving a system configuration incomplete.
