Thanks to all who stopped by the Salient Systems booth at GSX 2021 last week! While it wasn’t quite like the shows of the past, we’re grateful for the opportunity to see so many customers, partners, and industry colleagues face to face again. If you couldn’t attend the show in Orlando, here’s a few snapshots of what Salient highlighted at the event to help customers go beyond security with the Salient open video platform, CompleteView.
SALIENT Q3 2021 Release
A major highlight at GSX was Salient’s Q3 2021 release announcement, featuring a new version of CompleteView VMS. The latest release builds on the multi-streaming and management capabilities released earlier this year with improvements to camera density, scalability and usability of the CompleteView platform.
Thought Leadership Presentation
Salient Chief Product Officer Sanjay Challa provided his perspective to attendees on the first day of the show on how to leverage a VMS system for uses beyond security. In Petabytes of Profit: Unlocking the Insights in Video Data, Challa provided insights into how video data is being leveraged for non-security use cases, including business and operational intelligence, as well as discussed various technology choices and deployment patterns for video management. The presentation also included an overview of practical considerations and insights in choosing and deploying a VMS.
New Product of the Year Award
Also highlighted at GSX was Salient’s recent New Product of the Year award from Security Today. The award honors outstanding product development achievements by security equipment manufacturers whose products are considered particularly noteworthy in their ability to improve security. The CompleteView VMS version 6.0.0 took home the award in the Video Management Systems category.
Of course, no event would be complete without a proper cocktail hour for the opportunity to visit with Salient representatives, stroll the booth and wind down after a day on the show floor.
